I find their staff is either way too busy, or brand new and have no idea what they're doing. No middle ground. That being said, they've always been very nice and apologetic if the wait happens to be long. So meh.

I went to The Source in Carleton Place to order a battery for my Acer laptop. After waiting in the store at the front desk for NO LESS THAN A HALF HOUR, I was approached by one of the two employee's working at this location. Due to the fact that I use my laptop every day, I informed the female employee that I would only order the battery if it would be shipped in a reasonable amount of time, hopefully within the same week. SHE ASSURED ME THAT IT WOULD TAKE 3 to 5 business days for my battery to arive at The Source in Carleton Place. Six business days later I called back The Source in Carleton Place, concerned that I had not even recieved an email confirming that my order had been shipped. The male employee who answered the phone was not helpful at all and basically told me that it was an online issue so I would have to deal with the online customer service (even though I ordered the battery from their location). I went to the website, and the only online customer service was to write an email to The Source's online customer service team, which I have yet to recieve a response from. I then called back The Source and demanded to speak to somebody that could give me information on the whereabouts of my laptop battery, which cost me $107. The customer support person (female named Chantel) then informed me that my battery would not be available until mid March (I originally ordered that battery on Feb 12, 2013) and that there was nothing she could do to speed up the process. She did not seem to care in the slightest. Her remidy was this "well you could either wait until mid march or we could refund your money". If this is the resolution I was looking for why would I order the battery in the first place? I was promised a battery in 3 to 5 business days, so thats what I wanted, and since it has already been 6 business days, I wanted a better solution. I asked her for her name and employee number and she originally told me that her name was Lisa and that she did not have an employee number so i told her I would like to speak to her manager. Upon pressing the issue, she informed me that her manager "Lisa" was away and that her name was actually Chantel and that she did not have an employee number. (ITS ALWAYS NICE TO BE LIED TO BY TWO PEOPLE AT THAT SOURCE) She transfered me to her manager's answering machine, because apparently the source dosn't have customer service managers who work on the weekend and I left a message informing her of my problem. I then called back and spoke to an employee named Melissa, who gave me her employee number 74420, and eventually transfered me back to Lisa's voicemail, after also giving me horrible customer service. Needless to say, I cancelled my order and have yet to hear back from this manager Lisa. I am writing this review to make the residents of Carleton Place aware that "The Source in Carleton Place" could care less about customer satisfaction, and their online customer service is just as horrible. I hope that all residents of Carleton Place after reading this review, will become aware of this company's poor poliicies and join me in boycotting this store, hopefully driving this company out of Carleton Place. This is the only option available to consumers, when multi- national corporations like The Source forget that without consumers, they would cease to exist. Join the revolution to put the Source in Carleton Place out of business and show these multi-national Corporations that if they do not put customer service at the top of their Corporate Visions, the residents of Carleton Place will not support them.
